We deliver interim marketing and consultancy projects that vary in length from a few weeks to 12 months.

For our B2B clients we also offer a research service called Listenact> .We independently interview key decision makers in their customers to identify issues impacting sales and satisfaction. We then deliver insight that is operationally actionable, recommending where our clients should invest to retain customers and win new business.

2. Sector?
We have considerable expertise in the European Pay-TV, Mobile, Telecoms, Technology and Digital Media sectors.

3. Clients?
We have consumer, enterprise and consulting brands as clients. They include established brands like Google and Sky, and smaller fast growing brands such as Sepomo. We have completed six projects for Sky and four for Google. We also work as associates for consulting firms including L.E.K and PRTM (acquired by PwC)

4. Expertise?
Our broad marketing experience spans strategy, product management, branding, pricing, channel management, proposition development and customer experience. Functionally we have extensive operational consumer and B2B expertise encompassing advertising and communications, direct marketing, PR, sponsorship, digital marketing, research, data analysis and insight.

5. Approach?
Assignments are varied and have included investment cases for growth opportunities, delivering large cross divisional business transformation projects and launching new products and services to market. Our objective is to always deliver clients “winning” sales and marketing solutions. “Winning” encompasses delivering positive measurable benefits to clients, their customers, shareholders and their people.

Our reputation is built on exceeding clients expectations. Our number 1 KPI is therefore repeat business and recommendations from our existing clients. We have worked on six assignments for Sky since 2009, four for Google since 2012, three for Sepomo and two for MeWe360. We never forget that our clients have a choice to make every time they look to engage support from an agency or consultancy firm.

9. Location?
We are based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire near London, and are available and ready to work in most countries. To date we have worked in the UK, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Sweden.

10. What is Athenic?
HMS Athenic was the ship Angus’ great grandparents took when emigrating to New Zealand in the early 1900’s.

Athenic consulting was established by Angus Mitchell, a results focused executive with extensive European experience setting direction and leading marketing and sales teams to success in both global brands and start up’s.  Angus has a broad experience working in Marketing and Sales roles in TV, Mobile, Telecoms, Technology and Digital Media brands and held VP and Marketing Director positions for 10 years prior to establishing Athenic in 2009. Brands Angus worked for include BT, O2, Genie Mobile, Ericsson and He has a MBA from Warwick Business School, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a member of the Market Research Society.
